Self-portrait (A3 PRINT)

This self-portrait draws from my Ghanaian heritage, with the face rendered in gold as a tribute to Ghana’s history as the Gold Coast. By leaving the face blank, I wanted the figure to become more than just me. It becomes a reflection of any Black girl, allowing others to see themselves within the work. The piece sits between personal identity and collective experience, honouring my roots while celebrating the beauty, strength, and shared stories of Black women.
